The whiskey is the first step in this transformation. To give this drink a Christmas vibe, you can Infuse the whiskey with cinnamon. You simply place a few cinnamon sticks into the whiskey for a few days to give it that extra touch. The next step is to replace the sugar in the original flip with sugar syrup, or if you're feeling adventurous, amaretto liqueur if you make this drink on Christmas. The traditional version of the recipe is then followed by egg and nutmeg. It creates a luscious drink with a great cream and the flavors of the season.
Although it is not necessary, it is possible to add cream. Some people prefer it, and some don't. Because the egg provides enough cream, I don't add any extra cream to my cocktail. Either way, this is a fun and classically styled cocktail that you can share with friends throughout the holidays.
