The cocktail is believed to have been created in Paris somewhere in the 1920s at Harry MacElhone new york bar. MacElhone contributed many other classics to the world of cocktails, such as the White Lady or the Old Pal. Drinkers will always be grateful for his contributions.

Although it starts out as a Sidecar, the Between the Sheets is a Sidecar that gets a little more light rum. It also skips the sugared rim. The two-spirit base adds complexity by combining the rich oak and fruit notes from cognac with dry, tropical notes in light rum. You don't have to buy expensive bottles, but you can get high-quality bottles. I personally used the V.S.O.P. in my cocktail! The rum you can leave unaged and for the triple sec, use a deep rich one.
